New St. Paul's Hospital Inpatient Room Rendering

The new St. Paul’s Hospital is not just about replacing the Burrard Street facility with a larger, newer building. It will be a catalyst for change and health care transformation. We’re building an innovative and integrated hospital from the ground up to improve the experience for patients, staff, and visitors.

Features of the new St. Paul’s Hospital include:

  • Access to a wide range of integrated care programs and services
  • Better coordination between care providers and clinics
  • Single patient rooms with a bathroom and space for family to stay overnight
  • New and innovative technologies
  • Senior-friendly campus layout
  • Areas for wellness, rejuvenation, and spiritual support
  • An All Nations Sacred Space and Traditional Medicine Garden
  • Public art throughout the hospital and campus, created mostly by BC-based and Indigenous visual artists
