What are mock rooms? Mock rooms are life-size model mock-ups of key spaces in the new St. Paul’s Hospital. They are used to fine-tune designs and catch any issues before the hospital is built. Designs are subject to change.
Inpatient Room
Single-patient rooms are coming to the new St. Paul’s Hospital. Person-centred design and integrated technology will help improve the patient experience during their stay.
Emergency Triage
At the Emergency Triage in the new St. Paul’s Hospital, patients will be able to get to care faster and more efficiently.
Emergency Patient Room
Patient rooms at the new St. Paul’s Hospital Emergency Department are designed to minimize infections, maximize privacy, and improve the patient experience.
Single Room Maternity Care (SRMC) Room
Pregnant people will be able to labour, deliver, and recover all in their own room.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Families can have their own space to rest and be close to their babies in the new NICU.
Operating Room
New operating rooms (ORs) are designed to be modern, flexible, and future-proof to optimize safety and improve patient outcomes.
Critical Care Patient Room
Improved patient and family experience is coming to Critical Care at the new St. Paul’s Hospital.
Medication Room
Purpose-built design will help support medication safety best practices.
Mental Health Inpatient Room
All patients will have their own rooms in the new Mental Health Inpatient Units – enhancing patient privacy, dignity and comfort during their recovery journey.
Mental Health Care Team Station
Staff at the new St. Paul’s Hospital will have a more spacious, collaborative and secure space to work at in the Mental Health Inpatient Unit care team stations.
