Two years and counting
This month marks the two-year anniversary of construction for the new hospital! We’ve made huge progress these past two years, and we recently completed pouring the first floor of the hospital!

Big changes are coming to the hospital to improve the patient experience. Take a tour of life-size model mock-ups of spaces in the future Emergency Department at the new St. Paul’s Hospital.
At the Emergency triage in the new St. Paul’s Hospital, patients will be able to get to care faster and more efficiently:
At the Emergency triage, patients will be registered and triaged at the same time.
All patient rooms in the Emergency Department will be single-patient rooms, designed to minimize infections, maximize privacy, and improve the patient experience:
Patient rooms in the Emergency Department will all be private, single-patient rooms.

Nature is playing a starring role in the interior design of the new hospital. Spaces will feature colours and graphics inspired by BC nature and honour the traditional ancestral territories of the three host Nations – the Squamish, Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh – which the campus is built upon.
